CSEA is looking to fill the role of Sr. Network Security Administrator in the Information Technology Department.
Starting Salary for this position is $95,001 per the collective bargaining agreement.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Manager of Systems Security and Networking , the Senior Network Security Administrator is responsible for effective design, implementation and maintenance of all of CSEA’s computer networks ensuring a reliable, safe and secure infrastructure to support all of CSEA’s data and business needs, while ensuring operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Administers CSEA's Active Directory Infrastructure.
Assists with 802.1x, ADFS, Radius, and other authentication tools.
Arranges scheduled upgrades with CSEA departments and Region Offices.
Investigates and remedies faults in the network.
Updates network and security equipment to the latest firmware releases.
Utilizes network management best practices and tools to investigate and resolve network-related performance issues.
Utilizes CSEA's network monitoring tools to ensure all systems run optimally.
Assists with integrating technologies from outside vendors in various networking environments and optimize security.
Installs, configures, and troubleshoots IT infrastructure at CSEA's region and satellite offices.
Leads network engineers on designing a VLAN or other network architecture.
Assists in disaster recovery efforts, testing, and documentation.
Administers telephone communications system (IP and analog), assigning extensions, resetting voicemails, establishing new users and other telecom tasks and duties.
Develops documentation and user guides for enhancements.
Remains current on network trends and developing technology.
Collaborates with other technical teams to optimize data storage, integration, and retrieval processes.
Provide support and guidance to Network Administrator, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Assists Manager of Systems Security and Networking to build security policy for the organization.
May be assigned other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. (a) An Associate’s degree from a recognized institution with specialization in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
(b) Six years of satisfactory, progressive experience in network administration in a business environment incorporating switch, router and firewall configuration, network monitoring, and experience utilizing network management tools to that are acceptable to the management of the Information Technology Department. Knowledge of network topology, understanding of LANS, VPN, VPC, Wi-Fi, etc is required.

2. (a) Eight years of satisfactory, progressive experience in network administration in a business environment incorporating switch, router and firewall configuration, network monitoring, and experience utilizing network management tools to that are acceptable to the management of the Information Technology Department. Knowledge of network topology, understanding of LANS, VPN, VPC, Wi-Fi, etc is required.
OR
3 (a) A satisfactory combination of the foregoing education and experience.
Knowledge of wireless survey and analysis tools is preferred. Travel throughout New York State is expected.
